Upcycling and sustainability

The environmental benefits of upcycling are huge. Aside from minimising the volume of discarded materials and waste being sent to landfill each year, it also reduces the need for production using new or raw materials, reducing air pollution, water pollution, greenhouse gas emissions, and often conserving global resources.

When you purchase a beautiful original piece of furniture, you are helping a small business to survive and a gorgeous piece of furniture to be loved once again. Behind every upcycled product, there is a maker who strongly believes in what they are creating, plus it’s always nice to know that you have something completely unique!

Upcycling is a craft that goes beyond creativity and saves items from landfill which reduces our environmental impact. My passion is bringing these pieces back to life uniquely and creatively, to be loved and last for many more years to come.

Due to the increasing demand of eco-conscious consumers, I use only virtually zero/minimal added VOC, non-toxic, high quality mineral paint. For children’s items I use only EN:71-3 certified paint which is rigorously tested and safe to use on children’s toys and nursery furniture.
